Challenges
To design a flexible and user-friendly course creation system that supports multiple formats and fosters interaction between creators and users. I collaborated with the Product Manager to establish UX flows and conducted usability tests to identify challenges. My responsibilities included ensuring pixel-perfect design outputs and overseeing design QA to ensure seamless implementation.
Expected Outcome
Discovery
Extensive informal user interviews conducted by multiple teams, including the founders, uncovered several key user needs. Users emphasised the importance of intuitive navigation that allows them to add details at their convenience, along with the need for draft mode. They also expressed the need for guidance to complete pending steps, support for various lesson formats, and flexibility through modular lessons with easy reordering. Additionally, users showed interest in integrated discussion forums and the ability to track user details and activity effectively.

The user interviews revealed several pain points faced by creators during course creation. These insights highlighted critical gaps in functionality and user experience that impacted efficiency and flexibility in building and managing course content. Key insights included the need for:
Multiple lesson formats (text, docs, videos, audio, live classes, quizzes, assignments)
Users seek easy navigation to add details at their convenience
Draft mode and clear save status indicators
Guidance to complete pending steps
Support for multiple lesson formats
Preference for modular lessons and easy reordering
Interest in integrated discussion forums
Need for tracking user details and activity
